Answer

You can go to 4 of the Brown Libraries with your JWU ID card:

  • Rockefeller Library
  • Sciences Library
  • Orwig Music Library
  • John Hay Library

You can check out most books at Brown, up to 25 at a time, for about a month. They can generally be renewed.

Other items, like videos, can be used at the library but not checked out.

There are guest computers at the Rockefeller and Sciences Libraries with access to Brown's many research databases and online journals.

You can request books from Brown, instead of going there, through InRhode using your JWU barcode number. Books with a location of Annex or Rock Storage must be requested--you can't get them by going to Brown.

These are the details of your privileges at Brown.

Please note!

  • Access to the Brown libraries is ONLY valid till 10pm.
  • At the Rockefeller Library, you will need to sign in at the Circulation Desk and wait to be buzzed in.
