Both Downcity & Harborside have leisure reading sections (recognizable by green labels on the books) made up of bestsellers and other popular fiction and non-fiction titles.
An effort is made to integrate into the leisure reading sections authors representing a variety of nationalities, socioeconomic perspectives, as well as literary genres including detective novels, romances, science fiction, urban fiction, and graphic novels.
If you're looking for a wider selection, you can get a public library card! Go to any Providence Public Library/Providence Community Library location with a photo ID and proof of your residency in RI (like a bill or a copy of your lease).
PPL's web site includes all the details about getting a library card.
The Central Library of the Providence Public Library is just a few blocks from the JWU Downcity campus, and the Washington Park Community Library is the nearest location to the Harborside campus.
